Leadership at the Kitchen Table
Embark on a journey of leadership discovery with an exclusive cohort of 4 founders committed to cultivating their leadership practice in a confidential and convivial environment. We’ll meet 4 times, in person, for a 1-hour workshop and a 1-hour consultation focused on one founder’s challenge, followed by a relaxed, home cooked dinner.
This program is for you if:
- You take a thoughtful approach to leadership
- You are ready to be vulnerable and learn with peers
- You want to lead with more clarity on the challenges you are facing
- Your company has between 10 and 40 team members, VC-backed or bootstrapped
What awaits you?
The Workshop - In the first hour, you’ll be provoked to think about the work of leadership, where you excel and where you need to develop new practices. I’ll introduce concepts applicable in your day to day, you’ll reflect on how they apply to your environment and you’ll walk out with a set of actionable practices. Our four themes are:
- Avoid the Quick Fixes Trap: Address the Underlying Challenge - We will differentiate different types of challenges and dive into what it looks like in your team. You’ll get a better sense of what’s coming in the way of your team thriving.
- Leadership as a Practice, not a Role - We will distinguish your role as founders and executives from your opportunities to exercise leadership. By better understanding where the pressures you feel are coming from, you’ll see more possibilities for action.
- Change is about managing resistance - We will diagnose where the resistance to your and others’ initiatives are coming from and we’ll share strategies to manage changes.
- Behind the scenes: See the System beyond the People - Building on the previous workshops, we will deep dive into group dynamics diagnosis. By depersonalizing your system, you’ll be able to see more and intervene strategically.
The Consultation - In the second hour, one founder will briefly present a tough challenge of their choice and then go “on the balcony”, i.e. listening in without a possibility to intervene. The rest of group will act as consultants. They will use their expertise and new learnings to help the presenter see more of the dynamics at play in their challenge. This is not about solutions, it is a unique opportunity for founders to gain fresh perspectives with no conflict of interest on their challenge.
The Dinner - Finally, we’ll enjoy a home-cooked dinner with a free-flowing conversation.
Your commitment
- Be present at all the events and be there on time
- Hold confidentiality, forever
- Bring a beginner mindset
