Coaching
There is enough material written on leadership out there that one could spend many lifetimes reading it. Understanding what leadership is will only get you so far. Practicing it is the key.
This is where I come in. In our coaching conversations, we create a space for you to reflect deeply on your goals, challenges, successes, doubts, and the emotional ups and downs of your journey. You’ll build the capacity to navigate complexity more effectively and take difficult decisions with conviction. Together, we’ll design courageous actions that lead to exceptional results with integrity and joy.

About me
I coach because I believe coaching is a conversation that brings alive the best people can be.
I bring two parts of my life into my practice. The first part is the entrepreneurial one. I co-founded Clair, a mission-oriented FinTech startup. In that experience, I learned much about creating something out of nothing, about displaying certainty in the midst of uncertainty, about managing the unexpected every day, about having really difficult conversations, and about having to develop myself faster than I ever imagined in order to drive our company forward.
Another part of me is profoundly interested in the simple question of “how can we create a better life for all?” A key turning point in my life was taking and coaching the course Adaptive Leadership: the Politics of Change during my Masters at the Harvard Kennedy School. In that course, I learned about building my own capacity to be a more effective change agent to make people and organizations thrive. Since then, I have taken the roles of student, teacher, consultant, and entrepreneur, with a focus on learning how to navigate complexity and building conviction for hard decisions.
In coaching, I found a way to live my passion to build the capacity of driven entrepreneurs to be the best version of themselves and through their growth, create thriving organizations.
Besides my work, I love laughing with my wife, backcountry skiing, hiking, and enjoying a loud dinner with my family and friends. The pictures on this website are taken from past adventures in my home country Switzerland. I also get energized by learning new things: at the moment, I’m into vegetarian cooking and taking Lindy Hop classes with my wife.

Before beginning to work with Erich, I was feeling stuck at work, and not really knowing exactly why. I had a clear sense of personal values in theory, but was struggling to leverage them to make actual decisions about my career and how I lived my life outside of work.
